Mini Album

It has been awhile since I made a mini album...I forgot how much I LOVE making them!!!  I used a mix of Webster's Pages collections to make it:  Recorded,  New Year New You, and Postcards from Paris ll.  They are all such gorgeous collections and I love how easily they all mix together!

This was up on the Webster's Pages blog the other day...you can check it out HERE.  I hope you had a FABULOUS weekend!

Fall Leaves

September is such a beautiful month here!  It has been so warm and sunny and the leaves are just starting to turn such lovely shades of red and yellow!

Adrienne Looman for Websters Pages created the perfect collection for scrapbooking all your fall memories:  Family Traditions.  I love the colors and patterns of the paper and you should check out the embellishments....so cute...I can't WAIT to get my hands on them!  Here is a layout I did of my sweet Sienna playing in the leaves last year:

Here are a few detail shots:

I really wanted to have a one, two, three, for her throwing the leaves but she grabbed and threw the leaves so quickly it didn't ever happen in three stages...HA!  So one, two it is :-)

Enjoy your weekend!

A couple of cards!

I have been having so much fun playing with my new Webster's Pages goodies!  Today I have a couple of cards to share!  First up is uses the It's Christmas collection:

I cut out a couple of snowflakes from the patterned paper as well as an ornament that I added a bit string to!

My next card features the Recorded collection.  The colors in this collection are so fun!  I grabbed the patterned papers on the softer side for this heart themed card!

Today, I dedicate this card to my sweet husband.  I love you!  His mom passed away a couple of days ago so it has been a tremendously difficult time for him and of course for my girls, losing their grandma.

Have a wonderful weekend with those you love!

5 more school days....whhhhaaaat????

Anybody know where June went?  I am in shock that my kids have only 5 more days of school before summer holidays!  Don't get me wrong...I am super excited for summer!!!

This layout celebrates the arrival of summer:

I used mostly the Citrus Squeeze collection from Webster's Pages but also added in tidbits from Sweet Notes and Composition and Color.

Hello

Today I have another card to share!  I used the Webster's Pages Composition and Color collection - I was inspired by the fun "hello" that I cut out from the patterned paper and adhered with dimension dots.  I sure wish my handwriting looked like that :-)

Happy Easter

I don't know about you but I ate my fair share of chocolate this weekend!  I only did so to be a good mother - can't let my girls eat all that sugar you know, it isn't good for them..ha!  I hope you had a fabulous Easter with your families!  Ours was pretty low key without much family around but nice to be home with my girls and enjoy the sunshine we were blessed with!

This year the girls and I made an "Easter Tree" for our table centerpiece.  We made some salt dough egg ornaments that my girls painted, while I worked on my paper egg ornments!

I dug into my New Beginnnings collection from Webster's Pages - I just LOVE this collection.  I used the "Eggstra Special" patterned paper and cut out the eggs. Then I folded them in half and glued them together to make my 3D ornaments.  So fun!

I love crafting with my kids and it makes decorating for the holidays even more special!

Now I am off to eat more chocolate :-) :-)  Have a great day!!!

You are Nine

Time.  It is a funny thing as we age how much more quickly it goes.  I never seem to have enough of it and yet, I dont' think I would notice just HOW quickly it goes by if not for my children to help me realize.  My darling baby girl turned nine...NINE!  When did this happen?  I swear she was a toddler yesterday.   We celebrated her birthday by renting a hotel and water-sliding until we were all exhausted  (well I at least I was)!!!    Here is the birthday girl:

Taking picture of my "tween" is getting more difficult but she cooperated nicely so I could take a few to document her turning nine!  I used the fabulous Composition and Color collection from Webster's Pages for this layout.

I love, love, love WASHI tape so I added bits and pieces here and there.  Then, I covered up my heart with it!   The nine I just printed off my computer.  Here is a close up:

Have a fabulous Friday!!!

You Love to Read

Well I am still playing with all my new Webster's Pages goodies ... there really is nothing quite like digging in to new scrapbook supplies is there?  Especially all the gorgeous new collections from Webster's Pages!!!  This layout again features the fabulous Sweet Notes collection:

My daughter is crazy for reading right now!  Pretty awesome thing to love i'd say!  Her cousin gave her the entire collection of the Heartland series and my sweet girl dove in and hasn't looked back.  She even convinced me to read them after her so we could talk about them together.  I love my Mommy-Daughter book club :-)

Here is a close up of some of the details:

Time to go and kick my feet up and maybe grab a book to read!  If you have any great books you've read, I'd love to hear about them!!!

BeYOUtiful

One day while driving I noticed a billboard that had the caption "be YOU tiful"  For the life of me I couldn't tell you what the billboard was selling but I do remember how much I loved that sentiment and immediately started to plan a layout in my head on how to use it.  (funny how everything can relate back to scrapbooking right?)

I want for my daughters, more than anything, to always feel proud of who they are and to stay true to who they are.

This layout features the amazing Sweet Notes collection from Webster's Pages.

This collection has me at patterned paper but oh my...the overlays had me just giddy!  Here is a close up of one on my layout:

If you haven't seen all the new CHA collections Webster's Pages has yet...you are missing out!  Check them out on the Webster's blog HERE!

See...I told you it is AMAZING!  Here is my first layout using this collection:

I had this photo of my daughter in the beautiful winter wonderland so I pulled more of the neutral papers from this collection with just a pop of color.

Here is a close up:

I really can't help myself adding fun pops of dimension on my pages!

I hope you are having a fabulous weekend!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Friends

Friends.  They are so important in our lives, aren't they?  I am so lucky to have my sweet friends in my life whom I LOVE... these ladies are fun, supportive, loyal people.   Sadly, my besties have all moved away.  I miss not having them close by :-( and is it just me, or is it a lot harder to make good friends as an adult?

It sure is fun watching my daughters make friends.  They sure have no problem making new friends:-)  I used the perfect papers for this theme of my page:  Webster's Pages new Best Friends collection.

These girls play so amazing together...it always brings so much joy to hear their laughter when together!  I hope this sweet relationship continues to grow and blossom!

A big thank-you and hug to all of my online scrapbooking friends!  I appreciate you all so much!

Snowflake Tutorial

I am so excited this year that we are covered in snow already!    It is a beautiful winter wonderland outside and it has me feeling very festive :-)

Today I am going to share with you a FUN tutorial on how to make a snowflake using a glue gun that I did for the Webster's Pages Blog the other day.  You can check that post out HERE.

STEP 1:
Find a snowflake template that you would like to use and print it off.

STEP 2:
Cover the template with a piece of wax paper.  I used tape to hold mine in place.  Spread a small amount of dish soap lightly over the wax paper.  This will help the snowflake to peel off easily.

STEP 3:
Using a glue gun,  place glue onto the image of the snowflake.

STEP 4:
Allow the glue to dry.  When dry, gently peel off the wax paper. Cover lightly with clear glue and sprinkle sparkles on top.

You are now finished and ready to use your snowflake as an embellishment for a scrapbook page, card or even as is to hang from your tree!

I made a card using the Royal Christmas collection from Webster's Pages.

Happy

Hopefully you have heard about Webster's Pages Sprinkles...but if not, check out their blog HERE to find out all about it.  It is a little something each month that will make you HAPPY!!!!!!  And isn't that what life is all about?

For the Webster's Pages blog we were asked to create about something that makes us happy.  Immediately, I thought of my family.  Being with my family always makes me so happy...it is where I always want to be.  The only thing that makes it better ... is when I have my camera and am able to take pictures of my family.  Ahhh true bliss!

For this layout, I used the Park Drive collection (yes, AGAIN...I love this collection)!!!!  Here is a closeup:

Hope you are finding your happy today!
