Card Challenge #44 and Mini Album Workshop

Another fun sketch from Creative Scrappers!  My take on the sketch uses all product from Close to my Heart.

The mini album is what I am busy preparing for a workshop tomorrow for 31 ladies.  Should be fun!!  We will not be doing this exact one, rather using a variety of papers.   I love these little mini albums.  The "m" on the cover is a chipboard letter that I put clear embossing powder on and then when it was still wet, I pressed the spot on backgrounds stamp (from Close to my Heart) into it for a fun pattern!  Love that technique!

True Love - Sketch #44

Whew...what a busy week...finally had some scrapping time!  This is the first layout I have done of myself since before my children were born!!  This is my take of sketch #44 over at Creative Scrappers.  All product is from close to my heart.

Creative Scrappers One Hour Sketch Challenge

Today I participated in a one hour sketch challenge over at Creative Scrappers.  A sketch is posted and then participants have one hour to finish the layout and upload it into the gallery there.  So much fun and definitely a challenge for me!!  I tend to "obsess" over my pages for WAY longer than necessary so it was a good way to force me to keep creating and not to worry:)  The tricky part was changing a diaper, getting a snack and continually wetting a cloth to keep it cool for my fevering daughter AND trying to finish this layout in time!!  

Card Challenge #43 from Creative Scrappers

I have been dealing with a couple of sick kids lately...why is it that when it comes to barfing...it always seems to happen while they are in my bed....YUCK!  Tonight I finally did get some time to scrapbook and in my typical "do 800 things at once" I have started four different layouts! Since I didn't finish any of them, I thought I would whip up a card so I would have something to show for myself tonight:)  My card is based on sketch #43 over at Creative Scrappers.  All product is from Close to my Heart.

YIPPPEEEE!!!  Today was the day that Creative Scrappers revealed their new design team members and hooray... I am on it!  I am so excited to be a part of this team.  They have the BEST sketches so go and check it out!  I am off for a run and hopefully it will re-energize me so I can do some crafting tonight:-)

I am so pleased to get this layout finished today!  It is one of those layouts I have started and then haven't even gone back to finish.  I just love these pictures!  Well I am off to plan some fun "green" activities for my girls tomorrow for St. Patrick's Day!

Another sweet valentine!

I had so much fun with this layout!  Lately I have been using so many sketches (which I totally love) but I just had to make sure I could still do a layout without one...lol!!  All of the products are from Close to my Heart.  I am so digging the love language stamp set!

Sweet Valentine

This is my take on sketch #42 over at Creative Scrappers.  I do pages for both my girls albums so this one is for my oldest and I am still working on the other one...it will be very different:)  Sometimes I just make the exact same page switching out the focal picture makes the process quick and easy:)  In this case, Sienna is wearing a red shirt and it didn't look quite right with these papers so I turned the pics B&W.  Her page plays on the red and I will hopefully finish it today:)  Happy Scrapping!!!

First Haircut - Sketch Challenge

I made this layout using the great sketch from Creative Scrappers!  And yes, it took me two and a half years to get my daughter's hair cut.  What can I say, I had bald babies and was thrilled when they finally grew hair!  I made the envelope out of vellum paper and tucked a little bit of her hair in there.  Still not sure if that is somehow oddly creepy or if it is sweet and sentimental...lol.  

This layout uses Little Yellow Bicycle Paper, Heidi Swap rhinestone circles, CTMH waxy flax, and some stickers for the title.

I can never seem to do just one card when I do these sketches!!  Just gets the momentum going....

Canada Day

Ok I realize that it is not anywhere near Canada Day but this is one of those layouts that I started and never got around to finishing:)  We just got back today from a ski trip and I needed to do some crafting...it has been five days and I am seriously suffering withdrawal...lol!!!  This layout was quick and easy to finish since it was already half done...so happy canada day...either VERY late or REALLY early! Ha!  Ski trip was great but I didn't even take my camera on the hill.  Seriously...if it doesn't involve my children, I don't take pictures.  Need to change that.
