hello Autumn!!!!

Wow...how on earth did it become fall already???  I had a crazy busy summer - between work and the lake, I was never home!  And if I was, I was in the garden or working on my new photography business!  I miss the hot weather but I am happy to be settling into more of a routine.

Today my "Family" layout is up on the Bella Blvd blog.  I am absolutely smitten with the hello Autumn collection...especially that wood grain paper and all the yummy embellishments!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day!

Today we are celebrating National Scrapbook Day over at the Bella Blvd Blog!!!

Each team member was given the challenge to create a layout ...  all about ourselves!  YIKES...was my first thought.  I NEVER scrapbook myself.  It is soooo much easier to scrapbook my children.  But I am so happy I did and really need to make an effort to do it more often.  I think my girls will love looking back and learning a little about their mom!  Here is what I came up with:

It was such a great challenge - it gave me the opportunity to sit and reflect on how GOOD my life is!  Feeling so much gratitude!

April Page Maps

Hey y'all!  Popping in today to share a layout I made for the April Page Maps!  Some of the Bella Blvd design team contributed to Becky Fleck's new sketches for this month.  I am always thrilled to work with a great sketch!

I love this photo of my daughter seeing the ocean for the first time!  Living in the prairies it is such a new experience to meet the ocean :-)

Sweet Sisters

Well this blog has been a bit quiet lately -- we had a much needed family vacation!  We just had to escape the freezing weather here.  Yes it has been -40 for a long run and so I was happy to escape and enjoy the sunshine in Phoenix and then a quick stop in California to hit up Disneyland!!!  So much fun... i wish we were still there :-)

In all the hustle and bustle to get ready for our holiday, I didn't have time to pre-schedule my blog posts ... so I will have some projects to catch up on!  But for now, I will share my latest layout that was just up on the Bella Blvd blog HERE.  I got to play with a fabulous sketch:

These pictures were taken at my parents place in Phoenix, on their deck.  I am so happy that my girls have each other and shared this holiday together!

I used a mix of the Molly Collection and Lucky Starz Collection from Bella Blvd on this layout.  I was beyond THRILLED to come home to be able to play with these AMAZING new collections from Bella Blvd.  It makes the cold more tolerable when you have so many beautiful scrapbook projects to play with!!!  Check out a few up close details of these goodies:

Bella Blvd Challenge

Good morning!  Today I have a layout up on the Bella Blvd Blog HERE - there are always such FUN challenges and inspirational ideas at the Bella Blvd blog.  The challenge today is to use only patterned paper and stickers on your projects.  Honestly, when the papers and stickers are as amazing as Bella Blvd products...it really isn't a challenge at all :-)

This girl makes me so happy every day.  There really is nothing sweeter than finding sweet love notes placed in random locations for me to discover!  She leaves "I love you" notes and "You are the best Mom" and often some beautiful artwork of her and I together.  Melts my heart.

For a bit of texture, I cut out some hearts from the patterned paper and then ran it through my cuttlebug.  I also used dimension dots...always loving the dimension dots:-)

I love including artwork or notes on my pages to help tell my story.  I just love her printing...precious!

Happy New Year

Wishing you all a very happy New Year!  I love the feeling of a fresh start in the new year and so far 2014 has gotten off on the right start!

Today I wanted to share my absolute favourite layout of last year:

I love this layout for so many reasons!  First, I adore all the amazing Bella Blvd products - Bella Blvd always has such fun, bright colours and the most perfect embellishments that I heart soooo much!  Check out these detail shots:

I also love this page so much because of who is in it!  I love my girls so much and I feel like they have grown up so fast.  I want so spend more time with them and I look forward to having more dates with my daughters in 2014!

Both my girls love to jump - especially Sienna.  Anytime I am photographing her, she suggests a "jumping pose" and of course i am always happy to oblige.  The third reason this is my favourite page, is that it encourages me to "jump", to make a leap.  I look forward in 2014 to really jumping into my photography passion!  

I am so excited for this new year…and I am soooo excited for you to see the new releases coming from Bella Blvd!  Tune in all week to see the full reveal of their collections!!!!

Believe

I absolutely LOVE the bright fresh colours in the Bella Blvd Christmas Countdown collection!!!  I created this layout for a challenge on the Bella Blvd blog:  we were to use the quote "Don't be afraid; Just Believe" Mark 5:36" to inspire our pages.  You can check it out on the Bella Blvd blog HERE.

I found this note that my daughter wrote to Santa last year when I dug out the Christmas supplies!  I knew I wanted to include it on a page!  She is so sweet….she didn't write to ask for anything…just to let Santa know that she loves him.  Sweet girl.

The die cuts in this collection are amazing…I love how easy it makes scrapbooking!  So perfect for my simple style - I really want to focus on telling the story and not have to spend too much time on my pages!  Bella Blvd is amazing for this!  I seriously could use that "Christmas Love" heart on so many different pages!!

And those stars….love the stars!

We are still enjoying the magic of the holiday in my house!  It sure will be hard to go back to the school/work routine!!!

Bella Blvd & Kerri Bradford Team Up

I am SO very excited to be part of the Bella Blvd and Kerri Bradford team up!  If you own a die cut machine, you have probably heard of Kerri…she designs the most beautiful shapes!  This past week, some of the Bella Blvd design team members teamed up with Kerri Bradford and I was so lucky to join in on the fun!

Hearts are one of my FAVORITE elements to use on my pages so I immediately fell in love with Kerri's Heart Backgrounds and it paired perfectly with Bella Blvd's Kiss Me collection! I love the look of a touch of patterned paper showing through background paper and Kiss Me has so many fun patterns to mix in! I didn't need to journal on this page since the title "I love you ALWAYS" is exactly what I wanted to say! So many of my smiles truly begin with my sweet girl…she is as funny as she is adorable!

For this layout, I used Kerri's Happy collection. I had fun mixing a few Bella Blvd collections here and happiness is definitely my theme! I am super happy to finally be IN a page…I am not often behind the camera so I am making a concious effort to be in photos with my family! I love the sentiment, "you make me happy when skies are grey" and have often sang this to my girls!
