Snowflake Tutorial

I am so excited this year that we are covered in snow already!    It is a beautiful winter wonderland outside and it has me feeling very festive :-)

Today I am going to share with you a FUN tutorial on how to make a snowflake using a glue gun that I did for the Webster's Pages Blog the other day.  You can check that post out HERE.

STEP 1:
Find a snowflake template that you would like to use and print it off.

STEP 2:
Cover the template with a piece of wax paper.  I used tape to hold mine in place.  Spread a small amount of dish soap lightly over the wax paper.  This will help the snowflake to peel off easily.

STEP 3:
Using a glue gun,  place glue onto the image of the snowflake.

STEP 4:
Allow the glue to dry.  When dry, gently peel off the wax paper. Cover lightly with clear glue and sprinkle sparkles on top.

You are now finished and ready to use your snowflake as an embellishment for a scrapbook page, card or even as is to hang from your tree!

I made a card using the Royal Christmas collection from Webster's Pages.

  4. Great tutorial, Jamie! I pinned it for future reference! I have a question though - could you sprinkle the snowflake with glitter before the glue hardens?
