Free Spirit - Paper Challenge

Over at Creative Scrappers, there is an "ugly paper challenge" to encourage us to use our papers that we bought and now wonder why. Well, luckily this challenge also includes what we consider to be "difficult" paper, paper we are not sure how to use. I certainly don't think that my paper is ugly, but I have been hoarding this basic grey paper for a looong time since I didn't really know what to do with it. I typically prefer a more subtle patterned paper so I find "busy" patterned papers to be challenging. I am really happy with how this turned out!!

  1. This is SUPER gorgeous!
I LOVE what others do with Basic Grey but I can't seem to get it to work. I have several packs gathering dust LOL....You of course made a STUNNING LO with it!

  2. I agree--"busy" patterns make it a real challenge. But your LO turned out beautiful with the paper tearing, butterflies, great journaling, and precious photo. LOVE it! My eyes go straight to the photo, and then counter-clockwise around the page. :)

  4. I think this paper is beautiful and love what you did with it. I love the little butterflies. I have a thing right now for butterflies. I just love it! You made it look very easy not challenging at all.

  5. The paper is perfect for your picture - the pink in the paper helps your pic to POP off the page - great job with a "difficult" paper.
