Grandma Love

Well I tore into my box of Glitz Design winnings this weekend...SO FUN!! When I saw the Maya collection, I thought it has a quilt-like appearance and the flowers just made me think of "Grandma" thus, this layout was born:-) My daughters adore their Grandma Love so I decided to play off her name and how much they love her and put a big heart on the page! Then, since I was feeling a bit wild, I sanded the edges of my pictures. (I know, it is pretty sad that my idea of wild on a weekend is sanding my pictures...LOL)

I did a few other layouts this weekend too, for my DT assignments, but I cant' show you just yet:-) I played with the new Melody Ross Chip Art too and it is FABULOUS. Check out the gcd studios blog today to see what it can do....HERE is the link.

You Rawk

I had the honour of playing the "You Rawk" kit from Ninabrook Designs. I chose to do two single pages and everything is from the kit except for a little bit of black cardstock and twine that I added:-) You can buy the kit HERE.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

Next, I am thrilled to have been "spotted" over at the Jillibean Soup blog - check it out HERE.

And finally, I am excited to have been in the top three over at Two Peas - I am often in the top ten but I am ecstatic to have been in the top three:-)

First day of Kindergarten

My "Spring Cleaning" mojo has kicked in ... no not with the areas of my house that desperately need it ... my scrap room (MUCH more fun), and I have realized that I *should* probably do something with the 50 or so layouts stacked in a pile on my shelves..LOL!! I am NOT a chronological scrapper - I find it much more liberating to scrap what I want, whenever BUT there comes a day when these layouts should find a more permanent home....so all of this babbling is just to tell you that I am going back to "fill in the holes" so I can put these all away.

So that brings me to today's layout, my daughters first day of kindergarten! I can not believe that it is almost over....eek!!! For this page I fell in love with October Afternoon's rub on's and I almost managed to put the whole package onto this one page hee hee! Other supplies include Creative Imaginations paper, Bo Bunny paper, Thickers, Making Memories letter stickers and CTMH buttons. I also used a KI memories number diecut paper and spritzed it green!

My Mind's Eye - Ninabrook Designs Kit

Today is reveal day for Ninabrook Designs. This time the designers were given the 4 page My Mind's Eye kit to work with and you can purchase it HERE for only $15 (Canadian). Head to the blog to check out Jill's and Kristine's amazing layouts too:-)

I had fun working on these pages but you will have to pardon the pictures on the second layout (my favourite time of the day). My five year old took the pics but I really wanted to document how my youngest crawls into bed with me every morning. It is the BEST way to wake up:-) unless of course, she comes in TOO early...LOL

AND...how about a BIG BLOWOUT sale on My Mind Eye products? Ninabrook Designs is selling kits worth $55-$60 for only $19.99!!!!! Check out the details HERE and scroll down to the Coastal kit, Flirty kit and then on page 4 the Natural kit and the Sundress kit. Amazing deals huh?

Always Outside

Hooray.....Spring has officially arrived! It is not exactly warm out today but yesterday the girls spent the afternoon on the trampoline:-)

My big project these days is to plan several layouts and edit and print off the photos needed for them. All too often I spend my time going through my photos online and picking some to match my paper. I think it is easier the other way around and I KNOW that I scrapbook more when my photos are out and ready to go. Take this layout, I found these photos sitting on my desk yesterday and boom, just like that they are scrapped! I used the fabulous February kit from A Million Memories.
