Small Talk

This girl is a teenager in the making...lol!  She gets on the phone and walks around muttering oh ya,  uh huh, oh yes...etc and sometimes she goes in her room and shuts the door.  Seriously, she just turned three and she reminds me of a teenager!  In this conversation, she was talking to her Aunty on her birthday and I overheard her saying " Oh yes, little girls can eat cake" !! I used a layout from 52 sketches, 52 weeks but I changed a few things:-)

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I spent the weekend outside soaking up the sun:-)  and scrapbooking.  Here is a quick card I made for my friend who has moved.  

Good News...

So excited to announce that I have been selected as a Design Team member for Ju Ju Bee's Scrapbook Corner!  It is a fabulous site that has it all; a store, a great forum and soon there will be an amazing kit club too:-)  The forum is new so come on over and join us...there is a great bunch of gals there!!

I am also thrilled to be staying on for another term with Creative Scrappers.  I just love working with sketches and they are always so great!

And there is still more good news....I have been saving up forever for a new lens for my camera.  Yesterday my brother in law was over and he GAVE me a zoom lens.  WOW.  That is all I can say.  I think it is true that good luck comes in threes.

Ordinary Miracle - Creative Scrappers Sketch #60

Sketch #60 reveal is up today at Creative Scrappers and here is my take. I have wanted to do a layout forever using the lyrics to Ordinary Miracle by Sarah McLachlan...i just love that song such a beautiful message!

One picture...many pages contest

Creative Scrappers had a "one picture, many pages" contest this week and all of the layouts entered were revealed tonight. Everyone who entered scrapped the same picture and then we vote on the layout we like the best. Such a neat idea to see so many different ideas! And what a gorgeous photo to work with!!

Karma (my sweet dog)

You may have noticed I have been trying out a few new looks on my blog...can't seem to find one I am happy with.  But this white polka dot background kind of reminds me of white paper after I put it through my cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder:-)  And that is my FAVORITE folder...hee hee!!  So it will do for now!

My layout is about my dog, Karma, he had a huge tumor on his side that we had removed and I was so worried!!!  Turns out it was nothing...SUCH a relief!!  He is such a good dog and he's my first baby...had him before my kids:-)

Spray Park - Lisa's Scrap Shack Challenge #4

Challenge 4 for Lisa's Scrap Shack was to create a project that's all about summer!  Well, my girls LOVE the spray park and I LOVE this Bo Bunny paper:-)  so put it together and....here is my layout!!

I hand stitched the rays of the sun and used stickles (best invention ever) for the middle.  For the waves I cut up the paper and layered it to give it a bit of dimension and then used some more stickles!  Fun, fun!  Hope you are enjoying your summer!!
