A couple of cards...

Just a couple of cards tonight:)  I am working on a few layouts...yes, I usually have several on the go at one time.  I really love the planning of the page...what pictures to use, what papers, what embellishments...where things should go and then I get another idea and I move on to a different page before I get the first completely put together.  Anyways, love making circle cards and I LOVE birds!!  All products are from Close to my Heart.

Welcome Baby

I actually need to make a welcome baby card for a boy but for some reason (I guess having two girls) I only seem to make "girly" ones!!  All product used is from Close to my Heart (except for the pearls and gems in the flowers).

My sister my friend

I had so much fun with this layout!  I took some close up photos this time...I find my layouts look so much better in real life so I thought taking more photos might help:) Nearly all products are from Making Memories and the sketch is from another great sketch site, Creative Scrappers (www.creative-scrappers.com).  I deviated from the original sketch a little bit but I love a good sketch to get me going!!

I am on a bit of a butterfly kick lately, probably because I am longing for spring!!  All products used here are from Close to my Heart.

Blast from the past

I didn't get any scrapbooking time today (insert sobbing here) but I was going through my albums and I thought I would share this one.  I am quite the sporadic scrapper - grabbing pictures in no particular order and scrapbooking them when I am inspired or whenever pictures were just MADE for certain paper!! LOL!!  Then I just stash them safely into whatever album has space.  Now I am going through the process of organizing them chronologically.  It is fun to go back but also dangerous.  There are several pages I would like to re-do, so don't be surprised if you start seeing more baby pictures:)  But not this one.  I love this one.  Sienna was such a sweet baby!!

CPS Sketch 104

Here is my take on the CPS Sketch this week.  I was playing and ended up making two cards:)

CC Bird

My daughter's nickname is "CC Bird" and somehow this name perfectly suits her!!  This layout uses the Daydream paper pack from close to my heart as well as the boutique borders stamps and the bird basics stamp.

Build a Bear Birthday

This layout uses paper from a past promotion from Close to my Heart.  The lighting in Build a Bear made my photos a little off so I changed most of them to black and white.

CPS Card Sketch103

Another card sketch from card positioning systems!  I needed a more masculine birthday card for my collection!

This card was made with all Close to my Heart product.  The stamp is Aspiration, the patterned paper is from the unforgettable collection, tulip cardstock and ink (for flowers), chocolate ink for the stem and blush ribbon.

Wacky Hair Day

Back in January, my daughter's preschool class had a "Wacky Hair Day".  For this layout, I used a sketch from a great site called Pink Sketches (http://pinksketches.typepad.com/).

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here is a layout that I did last year for Valentine's.  The cookies are what my daughter gave to her preschool class.  I cut out the heart shaped cards for her and she did all the stamping...yup my four year old is a stamper in the making:)

Thank-you card

This card uses the Spot on Backgrounds from Close to my Heart and it shows the embossing resist technique.  I stamped the swirly circles with versamark and clear embossed it and then later applied the pink ink over top.  So fun and it makes your stamps even more versatile!!

This layout uses all Close to my Heart product: the paper is Daydream, the angel is the Chocolate Alphabet stamp and for accents I used white ricrac ribbon, pretty pins, dimensional elements (fresh shapes) and the flowers are from the white daisy collection.

Nature Girl

I got a chance to use a cricut and now I NEED one!  Of course, in my mind I NEED everything!!!

CPS Card Sketch

Another card sketch from card positioning systems!  The patterned paper and embellishments are K&Company.

This layout uses the Notebook paper from Close to my Heart and the "He said, She said" stamp set.  

Snow

I saw a layout like this on two peas in a bucket by jbarksdale and I just had to scraplift it using close to my heart product.  I just love our Aspen paper pack!!!

This was the sketch from CPS and so I decided that I would play along and here are two cards that I created.

getting along for a change!! I love those two and it makes me sooooo happy to see them so cuddly together!

Happy Birthday to a sweet friend!

On Feb.4th, it is my dear friend's birthday so I needed to whip her up an extra special birthday card. This card was inspired from the hero arts blog, where they had a challenge to do a pocket card. This card uses the Daydream paper pack and the Cupcake Sprinkles stamp from close to heart.
