Cool Dude - Creative Scrappers Sketch #67

Another fabulous sketch from Creative Scrappers:-) I had fun with this page...my sweet girl in her shades. She calls herself a "cool dude" so freakin' cute!

Hubby and I just got back from my first weekend away from my kids EVER! Went to a friend's wedding and had a blast! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend:-)

This layout is of my daughter and her buddy who had fun playing with ashes on our camping trip...what a mess! I used a sketch from 52 sketches, 52 weeks for this one since I had lots of photos, it worked nicely.

I am also trying to use up my ever-growing paper stash so I broke out some old scenic route for this one. I just put in a HUGE order from Close to my Heart from the new catalogue - so much fabulous stuff - so out with the old - in with the new. (Although, realistically it would take millions of layouts to use up my stash...lol)

So excited to learn that I won first prize for this layout for the July Make it from you Heart contest with Close to my Heart. Yippeee! Now I can actually order some stuff from the new catalogue:-)

I made this card using a sketch from 2 sketches 4 you...though I did stray a bit from the sketch:-) And seriously though, I don't know why I keep making cards, they take me almost as long as a layout does:-) This card is going to my brother in law - he GAVE me a zoom lens. Still can't get over that. What a guy!

Photo Shoot

I did a my first "photo shoot" for a friend of mine of her family and I wanted to share her little guy with you here. Isn't he adorable? Please feel free to leave me any suggestions too! I love trying to improve my photography on my own but secretly I dream of some amazing photographer taking me under their wings and teaching me everything they know...sigh...wouldn't that be super?

I used sketch #32 from 52 sketches,52 weeks for this one. I was asked to take pictures of a friend of mine's family down by the river so I got thinking how my family doesn't have any recent photos sooo I brought my family and used the timer to take a few of us too:-) I am NEVER in my photos since I am always the photographer that I am really trying to hand the camera over now and then! Well I am now back from our holidays...went to the lake with my family and then camping with friends. So fun! I am, however, super excited to get back to crafting! Got some GREAT news yesterday...TWO of my layouts are going to be published with Canadian Scrapbooker. WHOOHOOO so excited!!!
