Journey

I love to do pages that include random advice for my daughter's to look back upon. So often in life, we are focused on reaching a particular "destination" whether is simply to get through the work week or working towards a goal. I know I need the reminder to enjoy all of the "smaller" moments in our lives...you know all the daily stuff...these moments count. My girls remind me of this daily and I am blessed to spend my days with them and enjoy all the fun things they say and do. I hope that they will grow up to appreciate the everyday moments!

My layout is posted today over at the Teresa Collins Blog and there is a challenge posted based on it! Head HERE to check it out and play along!!!

This page uses product mostly from the Travel Ledger line and it also includes the Welcome Home and Chic Baby Girl lines.

Polymer Clay

It was my turn to share a technique on the GCD Studios Blog today! I have always wanted to try to make my own polymer clay embellishments and I thought it would be fun to use the Chip Art Tools to add a fun pattern and words to my projects. Here is how I did it:

1. Flatten your clay with a roller (I didn't have one, so I just used the palm of my hand)
2. Cut out desired shape (the spray bottle lid was the perfect size for me)
3. Press the tool into the clay - no hammering needed here:-)
4. It is now ready to bake following package directions on clay.

For my "congrats" card I used paper from the Smoothie Shoppe Collection as well as the Homespun Chic collection. The word strip is also from the Homespun Chic collection and, course, the chip art tools.

Next, I thought it would be fun to use my Peacock Alphabet to spell "love" and I used paper from the Artsy Urban and Homespun Chic collections.

I hope you try this!! Have a great day!!

Art Freckles May Starstruck Kit

I am so excited to be designing for Art Freckles - the name alone is SUPER fun, let alone the fabulous kits:-) Here are the layouts I did with this month's kit! The first one is of my adorable nephew - and the tag is off of my new pair of jeans...hee hee! On the little model layout, I used my favourite tool the Chip Art Tool from GCD Studios - click on the image to see the details of the star:-) And on the third layout, I gave my camera to my daughter and she had a blast snapping photos! So fun!

Have a SUPER day!!

You Colour my World

The GCD Facebook DT was given this beautiful picture for inspiration this month. Here is what I came up with. I loved how the inspiration photos blended into each other so beautifully that it made me think of a rainbow. I decided to give my rainbow some sparkle by adding sequins:-)

Hope you are having a beautiful day! We are having a yucky snow storm but it IS a perfect day to scrap!!!
